  I last visited Nature’s Hideaway about 10-12 years ago & loved it. It felt like true camping with the perk of a short drive from the city. Fast forward, they suffered damage from the 2013 flood and below you’ll read some pretty negative reviews. This is my review based on a visit this past weekend. The things I loved years ago are the same, the drive is only about 40 minutes door-to-site, the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The river is there for swimming and floating, and the landscaping still makes me feel like I’m camping. The prices are reasonable and comparable to other campgrounds so we didn’t have an issue with it. Our water hose wasn’t long enough so a new one was provided to us from the staff, to me, that’s going above & beyond. Portable toilets and flushable toilet facilities available, garbage disposals throughout, firepits & picnic tables, showers, and a little store that will have everything you forgot at home.We will return!

  My family and I stayed for Canada day weekend, we had a group site close to the river. We had a great time,staff was great delivered ice and wood to our site. True quiet time seems very tight but it is a family campground with kids everywhere. The river is wonderful for the kiddos we floated all day,everyday. We'll return for sure.

  In really rough shape for what you pay. Power does not run air conditioners or hair dryers or anything that draws a lot of power. Spots are really hit and miss - some are ok, others are piled on top of each other.
